Residency Requirements: Michigan residents must apply in the county in which at least one party resides. The
license may then be used anywhere in Michigan. Out-of-state applicants must apply in the county in which
they will marry.
Fee: $23 / $33 if non-resident (cash only)
ID: Certified birth certificate or passport
Who Must Be Present to Apply: Either bride or groom must be present with all the relevant information.
Waiting Period: 3 days

What to Know: At least one party must be a resident of the county, or if both are from out of state, the
license must be applied for in the county in which the marriage will take place.
